FiOS vs Cable

So, I'm moving in about two months, and debating FiOS vs Cable.

FiOS is faster and seems to be the way to go, except I had an awful experience with Verizon's DSL last week. Four hours of my girlfriends' time, then an hour for me. Fifteen minutes to get to the queue to talk to a real person on phone support, where they gave me the same inaccurate advice more than half a dozen times. Phone prompts asking questions that earlier prompts had already asked. And a friendly customer support guy that had very little idea about what he was troubleshooting, unfortunately.

I think FiOS is the better technology, but the worse deal.

Anyone else have any experience to share on this one?
